Vodafone India has intensified the tariff war yet again in the country. Recently, the operator started offering 1GB data per day at just Rs 153 in Punjab, and today, the operator announced a new plan of Rs 176. Dubbed as the Vodafone SuperPlan 176, it gives users unlimited voice calls even on roaming and 1GB of 2G data per day for 28 days. Vodafone announced this plan for its users in Madhya Pradesh & Chhattisgarh.
Vodafone says that Madhya Pradesh & Chhattisgarh is the second biggest state in the country, and it touches the borders of seven different states. Customers travelling across these states can recharge the newly introduced Rs 176 SuperPlan and can make unlimited voice calls to any network across the country.
Vodafone did not mention any voice calling FUP limit in the press statement it released today, but for the most part, the voice calls are limited to 250 minutes per day and 1000 minutes per week. There isn't anything new with this plan from Vodafone as the company is already offering the same plan in other circles at Rs 181. And it offers the same benefits of unlimited voice calls and 1GB of 2G data for 28 days.
But the company has added unlimited roaming voice calls to the plan, which is an added advantage. Customers in Madhya Pradesh & Chhattisgarh can head over to the leading Vodafone Stores, Mini stores and multi-brand retail outlets to recharge this plan.
Inviting the residents of the two states to avail the benefit of Vodafone’s attractive offer, Mohit Narula, Business Head – Madhya Pradesh & Chhattisgarh, Vodafone India, said, “It is our constant endeavor to bring simple, hassle-free offerings for our customers and to ensure that they enjoy unlimited calling with their families and friends even while they are on roaming. We are delighted to introduce Vodafone SuperPlan that offers unlimited free calling while on roaming across India. Also, you get 1 GB 2G internet per day for 28 days at just Rs 176. Adding more value to this offer recharge with My Vodafone App and get the benefit of 5% cashback”.
With this plan, Vodafone became the second operator in the list to offer unlimited roaming voice calls. Of course, the top spot is secured by Reliance Jio with the Rs 149 tariff plan. Next to Vodafone is BSNL, which recently modified the Rs 186 tariff plan and started offering unlimited roaming calls too.
