Indian telecom operator Vodafone Idea (Vi) offers a range of prepaid packs for its users. These packs range from Re 1 to over Rs 4,999, offering a variety of benefits. Sometimes, you may even see Vi offering multiple packs with a price difference of just Re 1 or Rs 2, each providing different benefits. Among the many packs offered by Vi, the MCA (Missed Call Alerts) and Caller Tunes packs are ones you may be particularly interested in. Let's take a look at what Vi offers in these segments.

Vi MCA Pack

Vi’s Missed Call Alerts Pack is available for Rs 45 and comes with a service validity of 6 months. This means customers will be able to enjoy a six-month subscription to missed call alerts upon recharging with this pack.

How to Activate Vi MCA via SMS

There is another subscription option for Vi customers to avail the MCA service, which can be activated via SMS. Customers can activate the MCI (Missed Call Information) service by sending ACT MCI to 54300, with charges of Rs 30 for 30 days. This is a monthly subscription service, and the activation TAT is 2 hours.

"Make sure you haven't missed that all-important call while your phone was switched off by subscribing to the Missed Call Information service. Get SMS alerts as soon your phone is switched on to get details of who called you and when," Vi says on its website.

Vi Caller Tunes Packs

Vodafone Idea offers two Caller Tunes packs with validities of 28 days and 89 days. Vi’s entry-level pack offers caller tunes with unlimited song changes for Rs 47 (28 days). The higher-end pack costs Rs 78 and offers caller tunes with unlimited song changes for 89 days. Neither pack offers any service validity.

"You can avail of unlimited song change in caller tunes with Vi caller tune packs priced at Rs 47 and Rs 78 that include validities of 28 days and 89 days respectively," Vi describes on its website.

You can also activate MCA and Caller Tunes via the Vi: Recharge, Payments and Games app.
