Vivo, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer, is set to launch its next phone in the V series in the coming month, following the announcement about the same, the BBK Electronics owned brand has announced price cuts for its previously launched phones. The phones which have received the price cuts include Vivo V9, Vivo Y83 and Vivo X21. The price cuts are massive, as select models of the phones have been brought down by as much as Rs 4,000. These new prices will be applicable for the phones mentioned above starting August 27, Monday that is today. To give you an overview, The Vivo V9 now has a new price tag of Rs 18,990, the Vivo Y83’s entry-level price will be set at Rs 13,990, while the top end Vivo X21 will retail at Rs 31,990 from now on.
Vivo Y83 and Vivo V9 New Prices in India
To recall, the Vivo Y83, which comes in a single variant of 4GB RAM/ 32GB inbuilt storage is being offered in Black and Gold colour options. Initially, the phone was priced at Rs 14,990, and now it is down by Rs 1,000 and currently retails for Rs 13,990. The Vivo V9, which launched in the country at the price of Rs 22,990 also received a price cut in July after which it started retailing for Rs 20,990. Now with one more price cut on its tag, the phone will finally be up in the market available for Rs 18,990. The phone is available in a single 4GB/64GB variant with the colour options including Champagne Gold, Pearl Black, and Sapphire Blue. At this price, the phone is expected to compete with the likes of newly launched devices like Honor Play and Nokia 6.1 Plus.
Vivo X21 is the Cheapest In-Display Fingerprint Scanner Smartphone
Next up, the premium level Vivo X21, which was also the first phone to feature an in-display fingerprint sensor had debuted in the Indian market with a price tag of Rs 35,990. Although the new pricing is known to be pegged at Rs 31,990, this new MOP has not yet shown up on the e-commerce websites or Vivo online store.
Vivo V11 Pro With Halo-View Display Launching on September 6
It is noteworthy that these price cuts come as the Chinese manufacturer is in the run-up to launch its Vivo V11 Pro smartphone on September 6. The company has also dropped some hints about its upcoming device which reveal that is going to come with waterdrop-style display notch, a Halo FullView display, dual camera setup, and an in-display fingerprint sensor like its previous flagship offering.
