Top Smartphones Expected to Launch in India in July 2017

In the month of June 2017, several smartphones ranging from flagship level to entry-level segment launched in India. But, we must admit that the month belongs to flagship phones such as HTC U11, Sony Xperia XZ Premium, OnePlus 5, Samsung Galaxy S8+ (6GB RAM variant) made their way to the Indian market.

And the month of July will also be exciting as well because brands such as Honor, Motorola have already started teasing their upcoming smartphones. And some flagship phones are also expected to make their way to India. Here are the smartphones which will be likely unveiled in India this month.

Motorola Moto E4/E4 Plus

Motorola has been launching smartphones since summer this year. Last month, Motorola launched three phones in India- the Moto C, Moto C Plus, and the Moto Z2 Play. Motorola already started teasing the Moto E4 series in India and will unveil the Moto E4 and Moto E4 Plus this month.

Both the Moto E4 and E4 Plus have already launched in other markets. The Moto E4 has a 5-inch HD display, while the E4 Plus has 5.5-inch HD display. The smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 425/427 SoC, paired with 2GB of RAM and 3GB of RAM respectively. The USP of the Moto E4 Plus is the massive 5000mAh battery, which could deliver battery life of two days with a single charge. Both the phones boot Android 7.1 Nougat out-of-the-box and are expected to be priced below Rs. 10,000.

Huawei Honor 8 Pro

Huawei recently launched the Honor Holly 3+ and also showcased the successor to Honor 8, the Honor 8 Pro in India on June 22. The device will be officially unveiled on July 8. The Honor 8 Pro has a 5.7-inch Quad HD display along with a gorgeous design. The USP of the device is the dual rear camera of 12MP and 20MP. The 20MP is used to capture Monochrome shots. The device runs on latest Android 7.0 Nougat based EMUI.

The phone is powered by the HiSilicon Kirin 960 SoC, paired with massive 6GB of RAM. Also, there's a massive 4000mAh battery. The Honor 8 Pro will give OnePlus 5 run for its money and expected to cost Rs. 29,999.

Xiaomi Mi Max 2

Xiaomi will surely launch something this month because the company has teased a smartphone launch back in May. The Mi Max 2 will be launched before July 23 because all the Xiaomi smartphones released this year in India went on for sale on 23rd of every alternate month. However, there' some possibility that Xiaomi could launch the flagship Mi 6 as well. Nevertheless, it's most likely, Mi Max 2 itself.

The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 succeeds the last year's Xiaomi Mi Max and has a 6.44-inch Full HD display. It is powered by the Snapdragon 626 chipset and will come in two RAM options- 4GB and 6GB. The phone uses a 12MP rear camera and a 5MP front-facing camera. Another highlight of the Mi Max 2 is the 5000mAh battery. The phone is expected to cost below Rs. 15,000 for the 4GB RAM option, and Rs. 20,000 for the 6GB RAM variant.

Nubia Z17

Nubia, at the Computex 2017 announced its flagship phone, the Nubia Z17. The Nubia Z17 has a 5.5-inch Full HD bezel-less display and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset, 6GB/8GB of RAM. The phone has a dual camera setup at the back and a decent 16MP front-facing camera. The Z17 uses a 3200mAh battery. The expected pricing of the phone is below Rs. 30,000 because Nubia goes against OnePlus smartphones in India.

Gionee A1 Plus

Gionee launched its flagship phone, the Gionee A1 in India back in March. And the company is long rumoured to introduce the bigger variant of Gionee A1, the Gionee A1 Plus in India.

The Gionee A1 Plus has a 6-inch Full HD display and uses a MediaTek Helio P25 SoC, 4GB of RAM. This phone also has a dual camera setup at the back and has a 4550 mAh battery. The device runs on Android 7.1 Nougat out-of-the-box. The phone is expected to cost around Rs. 25,000 in India.

Asus Zenfone 3 Zoom and Asus Zenfone AR

Last month, Asus officially confirmed that they would launch the Asus Zenfone 3 Zoom and Zenfone AR smartphones in India. In addition, Asus already started teasing the Zenfone AR launch in the country. The Zenfone AR is a Tango & Google Daydream ready smartphone and has a massive 8GB of RAM. However, the phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 chipset.

As said earlier, the Zenfone AR has a 23MP rear camera, along with an 8MP front-facing camera. Furthermore, the Zenfone AR has a 3300mAh battery.

Along with the Zenfone AR, the Zenfone 3 Zoom could also make its way to the Indian market. The Zenfone 3 Zoom is the company's only dual camera smartphone, which is also a battery-centric phone as it uses a massive 5000mAh battery. The device is powered by the power-efficient Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 and has a 4GB of RAM.
