OnePlus has just announced a brand new Lava Red colour variant of the OnePlus 5T. The recently announced flagship smartphone is currently available in only a Midnight Black colour, but the OnePlus fans in China can cheer that OnePlus introduced a new colour in its homeland. Currently, it is unknown when or whether will OnePlus launch the new colour option in other regions.
But if OnePlus launch the Lava Red colour option in its popular markets such as India and the US, it will be a great deal for the consumers looking out for a different colour version of the smartphone. The OnePlus 5T in Lava Red colour looks gorgeous.
Other than the colour, the specifications of the smartphone remain the same. The 5T is also priced at 2999 Yuan in the Chinese market, which is similar to the standard Midnight colour 5T.
The OnePlus 5T was introduced on November 16, and earlier today, the device went on open sale in India. The device succeeds the OnePlus 5, which was launched just five months ago. As a matter of fact, OnePlus' parent company, Oppo also has the Red colour variant of the Oppo R11S, which looks strikingly similar to the OnePlus 5T Lava Red colour.
Priced at Rs 32,999 and Rs 37,999 for the 6GB and 8GB RAM variants, the 5T is one of the best affordable smartphones you can purchase in the market right now. The 5T sports a 6.01-inch Full HD+ Optic AMOLED display and it is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset. The device comes in two storage variants- 64GB and 128GB with no support for storage expansion.
A 16MP primary f/1.7 camera is present at the back along with a 20MP f/1.7 secondary sensor. The 5T houses a 16MP sensor on the front. The device boots Android 7.1.1 Nougat based OxygenOS 4.7 out of the box, and it's backed by a 3300mAh battery with Dash Charge support.
Connectivity options in the 5T include 4G LTE, VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth, GPS, USB Type-C port, and NFC. The highlight feature of the OnePlus 5T is the Face Unlock feature. A fingerprint sensor is present at the back of the phone, which unlocks the device in just 0.4 seconds.
