German telecommunications company Telekom has announced expanding its mobile services at 647 locations across the country over the past five weeks. According to the official release, 193 new sites have been established, now transmitting LTE and 5G frequencies based on specific coverage objectives.

Strengthening 5G and LTE Capabilities
Additionally, Telekom said the mobile capacity has been augmented at 454 existing sites to enhance the overall performance of Telekom's LTE and 5G networks. With the deployment of the high-speed 3.6 GHz frequency band, over 9,200 5G antennas are now operational in approximately 740 cities and communities across the country.

Nearly Universal 5G Coverage and Extensive LTE Reach
Also, Telekom said its 5G connectivity has become increasingly prevalent, with nearly universal coverage. Approximately 95 percent of households now have access to Telekom's 5G network, while LTE coverage extends to 99 percent.
"We are accelerating the pace of mobile network expansion," stated Deutsche Telekom. "Over 95 percent of the population can already benefit from Telekom's 5G network, and by 2025, we aim to reach 99 percent. Our objective is to equip Germany with comprehensive and future-proof network infrastructure, ensuring the country's readiness for the digital future."

In parallel, the company is also expanding its fibre reach by deploying fibre to reach last-mile connectivity. By continuously strengthening its network infrastructure, Telekom aims to drive digital transformation and empower individuals, businesses, and communities to thrive in the digital era.
