Tata Play, the largest DTH (Direct-to-Home) operator in the country, has launched a platform service called 'Superhit Serials'. The Tata Play Superhit Serials service is a bet on banking the nostalgic feelings of the customers. With this value-added service, Tata Play will stream some of the best serials from Indian television history for the entertainment of its customers. The shows will be from the 2000s era. Tata Play said that the service is powered by Star Plus, and it will feature the reruns of the channel's most popular shows that touched the hearts of millions. According to the company, there's a significant demand for such shows since they are not available on any TV channel anymore.

In a release, the company confirmed the names of some TV shows that will be featured on the service. These include the following - 'Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii', 'Kasautii Zindagi Kay', 'Kumkum – Ek Pyara Sa Bandhan', and 'Kaahin Kissii Roz'. Shows such as Hatim, Navya, and Dharti Ka Veer Yodha Prithviraj Chauhan will also make a comeback here.

"Our research revealed a significant demand for beloved classic shows. With a sizeable audience reminiscing about iconic properties like Kasautii, Kahaani, etc., we recognised the need to revisit and curate these groundbreaking programs that till date enjoys a strong resonance in the minds of the viewers," Pallavi Puri, Tata Play's Chief Commercial and Content Officer said.

This will also give a new life to the old, but popular actors such as Shweta Tiwari, Ronit Roy, Ali Asgar, Juhi Parmar, Kiku Sharda, and more. Tata Play Superhit Serials will cost Rs 2 per day but will be free for the first five days. It will be available on channel number 118.
