Tata Play Binge Launches PaaS Solution for Bangladesh’s Akash Digital TV

Akash Digital TV has launched a companion app under the name Akash Go. With the Akash Go app, users in Bangladesh will be able to access OTT content from different platforms directly on their mobile devices.

Tata Play Binge, an OTT (over-the-top) aggregation platform by Tata Play allows customers to consume content from different platforms through a single login. Now, Tata Play Binge has leveraged its existing technology and expertise to launch a Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) solution for Akash Digital TV, a Bangladeshi DTH (Direct-t0-Home) operator.




This is the first such commercial launch by Tata Play Binge. Akash Digital TV has launched a companion app under the name Akash Go. With the Akash Go app, users in Bangladesh will be able to access OTT content from different platforms directly on their mobile devices. There will be live TV channels and Video-on-Demand with personalised recommendations based on the user's viewing history. The Akash Go platform will only be available for the subscribers of Akash Digital TV.

The platform will feature local content as well as global premium content for users to consume. Tata Play Binge is one of the best OTT aggregation platforms in the country. There is content from several major OTT houses in this platform, and the best thing is that users can access all of it in a single login.
