Sony Pictures isn't the happiest of the lot for the time being because it was recently attacked by a group of hackers and as a result of this, a lot of information, which shouldn't have come to public knowledge, has been leaked. Amidst all the information that has been leaked, an interesting piece of information that has come to light is the fact that Sony is pitching for the product placement of its devices in the next James Bond movie, Spectre.
And among the products that Sony wants to place, the Xperia Z4 is present, whose image has been leaked through the pitch. A leaked email mentions the release date of the device and states that it will be launched in May/November 2015. If the former becomes true, we'll know that Sony is following the 6-month upgrade cycle for the next generation of the smartphone and if the latter is true, we'll understand that Sony has reverted to the yearly upgrade cycle.
As far the Xperia Z4 is concerned, it will come with a new design philosophy and will have mirrored front and back. There will be 1.2mm glass panel edges and it will come with an activity tracker as per the leaked images. The specs however haven't been released through the leak. Placing the device in the next Bond movie would surely get it the attention Sony is seeking but what remains to be seen is if these plans see the light of the day.
