Sony Xperia XA1 Plus With 23MP Rear Camera and 3430mAh Battery Launched at Rs. 24990

Sony India has announced a new smartphone, namely, the Sony Xperia XA1 Plus at Rs. 24,990. The smartphone will be available in India starting tomorrow in three colour options- Gold, Black and Blue. For the asking price, the device offers decent specifications.

Diving into the specifications of the Xperia XA1 Plus, it features a 5.5-inch Full HD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The display also comes with Sony's Image Enhance technology. At the heart of the phone, the XA1 Plus comes with a 2.3GHz 64-bit MediaTek Helio P20 chipset, which is an octa-core chip built on 16nm manufacturing process.

The chipset is accompanied by 4GB of RAM to handle with system operations and the Mali T880 GPU takes care of graphics in the smartphone. Sony has added 32GB of internal storage in the smartphone, which can be expanded up to 256GB with a microSD card.

This dual SIM smartphone comes laden with Android 7.0 Nougat with Sony's Xperia UI on top. Sony might release the Android 8.0 Oreo update to the XA1 Plus by the end of this year. Connectivity options in the smartphone include 4G LTE, VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and USB Type-C port. Sony has also added NFC support in the smartphone.

The highlight of the Xperia XA1 Plus is the rear camera setup. The smartphone comes with a 23MP rear camera with LED flash, 1/2.3-inch Exmos RS sensor, and f/2.0 aperture. Up front, there's an 8MP front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture and 23mm wide-angle lens.

"The Sony XA1 Plus is designed to ensure a long lasting performance over the smartphone's lifetime. Stamina Mode extends the battery lifetime just when you really need it, whilst Qnovo Adaptive Charging technology and Battery Care work together to maintain the long-term health of the battery by monitoring its health and adjusting the charging current accordingly to avoid damage and maximise its lifespan" said Sony in a press statement.

The smartphone measures 8.7 mm in thickness and weighs 190grams, which is on the heavier side. This entire package is backed by a 3430mAh battery and comes with Qnovo Adaptive fast charging.
