Sony starts rolling out Android 5.1 for Xperia Z2 and Xperia Z3

Sony has started rolling out the Android 5.1 Lollipop update for  the Xperia Z2 and Xperia Z3 series of devices. The update will cover Xperia Z3, Xperia Z3 Compact, Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact, Xperia Z2 and Xperia Z2 tablet. The update brings with an increased number of customization options. You can now control volume, silent mode and other alerts functions.

Android 5.1 Lollipop

It further integrates Linkedin in your contact list and calendar. The camera sees an improvement and you now get a faster and more accurate auto focus mode. It further gets an enhanced enterprise support with the latest Xperia in business features for work.

The update brings better smartwear integration and you can now use the SmartWatch 3 as a remote shutter button. The Xperia Z1, Xperia Z1 Compact and Xperia Z Ultra will join in next. These will be followed up by Xperia T2 Ultra and Xperia C3 with Xperia M2 and Xperia M2 Aqua after that.
