Indian OEM Smartron announced its next-gen multifunctional hybrid laptop, the Smartron tbook Flex. The two-in-one device will be available in two variants, the Intel Core M3 powered version is priced Rs 42,990 and the Intel Core i5 version will retail at Rs 52,990. Both versions of tbook flex will be available exclusively on Flipkart starting May 13, 2018. The tbook Flex is designed on the lines of Microsoft Surface range of tablet-laptop hybrids. It is essentially a Windows 10 powered tablet with a lightweight body, touchscreen display along with a detachable backlit keyboard.

The flex comes with magnesium and aluminium alloy metallic body and there’s a flexstand on the back with a step-less hinge design and an ability to flex up to 150 degrees. The detachable keyboard magnetically clamps onto the tablet and also works wirelessly using Bluetooth. The power button on the keyboard doubles as a fast fingerprint scanner.
Though Smartron tbook Flex carries the same design as the older tbook from 2016, it does come with some refinements and specification updates. The Smartron tbook flex sports a 12.2-inch WQXGA display with 2560 x 1600 resolution, a 16:10 aspect ratio as well as multi-touch functionality.
Under the hood, the device is powered either by Intel 7th Gen Core m3 processor (1.00 GHz up to 2.60 GHz) or by a 7th Gen Intel Core i5 (1.20 GHz up to 3.20 GHz). Both the variants of the tbook Flex come equipped with an Integrated Intel HD Graphics 615, 4GB of LPDDR3 RAM and 128GB of SSD storage.
