Microsoft’s CEO, Satya Nadella at the company’s Build 2017 keynote, has made various announcements and gave us some insights about the company’s products. He said that the latest and greatest operating system from the Redmond giant, the Windows 10 now has 500 million active users across the globe.

That’s not a small number by any means, especially considering the fact that the company has been struggling to get going in recent times. It is also said that 300 million users use the OS on a daily basis for at least 3.5 hours which is very impressive.

“Windows had reached 500 million Windows 10 monthly active devices and noted how – together – Windows, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Azure offer developers more than a billion opportunities to connect their innovations with Microsoft customers,” quoted Satya Nadella.

Despite the downfall of Windows 10’s growth in recent times, it has half a billion active users now. Most of the enterprises are still using Windows 7 as their default OS, and once Microsoft kills the Windows 7, every enterprise will start migrating to the latest version of the OS, which will increase the active user base substantially.

Microsoft also announced that its three major products- Windows, Azure, and Office are creating more than a billion opportunities for developers to develop various new products. The firm also announced some updates to the Microsoft Office and also new Azure services have been released.

The software company also shed light on its work on the Artificial Intelligence and how it will allow developers to build interactive applications. Cortona is being used by 141 million people every month across the globe, and it has got new skills as well such as checking out from food network services like Dominos Pizza, etc.

Finally, Microsoft released its development tool Visual Studio 2017 for Mac. Although it’s a lite version, it includes all of the Microsoft’s Integrated Development Environment (IDE) for developing an application
