Samsung Galaxy Note Edge launched in India, will go on sale from January 2015 for Rs. 64,900

Samsung's most innovate smartphone till date, the Galaxy Note Edge was announced during the company's pre-IFA 2014 event in Berlin. During the unveiling, Samsung had announced that the Galaxy Note Edge would be a 'limited edition concept device', but Samsung has announced the device in almost every important market around the world, including India. The Samsung Galaxy Note Edge has been launched in India today with a price tag of Rs. 64,900 and will be available starting January 2015.

Samsung had launched the Note Edge's non-curved edge display sibling, the Galaxy Note 4 in India last month for Rs. 58,300. The Galaxy Note Edge features a 5.6-inch QHD+ curved edge Super AMOLED display, a 2.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor, 3GB RAM, 32GB internal storage, microSD card slot, 16-megapixel primary camera with OIS, 4K video recording, 3.7-megapixel secondary camera, 4G LTE connectivity, and a 3,000 mAh battery.

The curved part of the screen shows special functions at different points of time, such as time during sleep mode and various selectable tickers.
