Samsung Galaxy A7 to be officially unveiled on January 14

As we have already told our readers earlier, Samsung is gearing up to officially launch the Galaxy A7 in South Korea soon. Korean website Ruliweb has also mentioned, that the A7 will be announced in Korea on January 14, along with Galaxy A5 (which is available in selected countries already)

The Galaxy A7 is touted to be the largest and most advanced smartphone in the Galaxy A series. It will also be the thinnest smartphone ever, measuring 150.9 x 75.9 x 6.3 mm.

Moreover, the Galaxy A7 will be running on Android 4.4 KitKat, although we expect it to be updated to Lollipop soon after the launch. The phone will boast a 5.5-inch display with 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution. It will be powered by a 1.5GHz Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. It will also have a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. There will be 16GB of expandable storage space, with 2500 mAh battery.

The Galaxy A7 will also be released in China besides Korea. There is still no information about Samsung’s plans to sell the A7 globally, or just in Asia, we can hope for a clear answer soon after the launch.
