Retail owned Reliance Digital stores has come up with three new LYF branded VoLTE handsets Flame 2, Water 7, Wind 4; ahead of Jio's launch in the coming weeks.
Out of the three smartphones, Flame 2 is the cheapest one, and is offered at a price of Rs. 4,999. It is mainly targeted at a lower-end segment of buyers. On the other hand, the LYF Wind 4 comes with a massive 4,000mAh battery, while the LYF Water 7 is packed with features such optical fingerprint sensor that is touted by the company to make fingerprint detection and verification simpler. Interestingly, the LYF Water 7 is the first fingerprint sensor equipped smartphone by the brand.
With these phones, Reliance Retail targets to provide a vast range of 4G phones from lower price point to higher range. It looks like the company's strategy to encourage mass adoption of the high-speed internet, high-definition voice, video calls and value-added services.
Reliance said in a statement,"LYF aims to be a key player in the Indian smartphone market by offering cutting edge technology and a superior user experience - the true 4G experience comprising HD Voice and Video calling,"
Reliance Retail said that the launch of new devices is a part of Holi Celebration offer by LYF. These new models were initially scheduled to be launched in the latter half of March, however, due to great response from markets the company decided to go for an early launch. The entire line-up will be available across retail stores over the next few days.
As a part of Holi offer, the company has slashed the pricing of its existing phones. The LYF smartphones that are getting a price slash are Earth 1, Water 1, Water 2, Flame 1 and Wind 6.
Furthermore, the pricing of Earth 1 has been slashed from Rs 23,990 to Rs 19,399. The device is up for sale with updated pricing at Reliance Digital stores. The phone is equipped with Snapdragon 615 processor; features 5.5-inch full HD AMOLED display, and 32GB of internal storage.
