Indian telecom sensation, Reliance Jio has launched a few new plans to disrupt the market yet again. For the unaware, Reliance Jio's Dhan Dhana Dhan offer is set to end on July 15, and the users have to recharge with either the Rs. 309 or Rs. 509 plan to enjoy the benefits. However, they offer benefits for only 28 days. And now, the company has come up with new plans and also revised the existing Rs. 309 and Rs. 509 plans.
Let's first begin with the new plan introduced by Reliance Jio today. The company has unveiled a new Rs. 399 scheme for JioPrime customers, which offers 1GB data per day for 84 days (same as what the Rs. 309 plan is currently offering). Secondly, the company announced a new Rs. 349 plan which gives 20GB data for 56 days and it won't offer daily data.
Coming to the revised Rs. 309 and Rs. 509 plans, they were all set to offer 1GB data per day and 2GB data per day for 28 days from July 15. However, after the revision, they will offer the same benefits for 56 days. That said, only the validity has changed and nothing else.
There are some revisions to other premium plans as well. The Rs. 999 plan will now provide 90GB data from the previous 60GB data for 90 days. The Rs. 1999 plan is now valid for 120 days, and the data benefit is also increased from 125GB to 155GB.
The Rs. 4999 plan will now provide 380GB data for 210 days, modified from the 350GB data for 180 days validity. Lastly, the Rs. 9999 plan is now valid for 390 days and gives a benefit of 780GB data.
As usual, all these plans offer unlimited free voice calls and a subscription to all the Jio apps. Jio did not modify the entry-level plans such as Rs. 19, Rs. 49, Rs. 96, and Rs. 149.
And for the postpaid users as well, Jio silently launched some new plans. The Rs. 399 plan for postpaid users offers 1GB data per day for 90 days (three months), making it a total of 90GB. The Rs. 349 plan for postpaid users gives 20GB data for 60 days without any daily cap limit.
The Rs. 309 and Rs. 509 plans for postpaid users are also revised and are now valid for two months (60 days) from the previous one month benefit. Lastly, the Rs. 999 plan now gives 90GB data for 60 days, revised from the previous 30 days validity.
As mentioned earlier, all these plans are valid only for JioPrime customers, and the company did not reveal the benefits for non-JioPrime members as of this writing. The prepaid plans are already available for recharge for JioPrime members via the company's official site- Jio.com.
Reliance Jio is disrupting the market yet again with these new plans, and yes, the Rs. 399 seems to be an attractive plan with the same benefits of Rs. 309 plan.
