Pan India 4G Spectrum holder Reliance Jio Infocomm today sign tower-infra sharing deal with ATC India, one of the leading independent tower companies in India.
Under the deal, Reliance Jio would utilize the telecom tower infrastructure of ATC India to launch its services across the country.ATC has a portfolio of 11,000 towers in India.
Earlier Reliance JIO also sign tower and Infra sharing deal with Bharti Airtel and Reliance Communications (Rcom) and tower company Viom Networks.
Relaince JIO's agreements was with RCOM for sharing of extensive intercity and intra-city optic fiber infrastructure of nearly 1,20,000 fiber-pair kilometers of optic fiber and 500,000 fiber pair kilometers respectively and 45,000 towers.
While Infra deal agreement with Bharti Airtel was for a comprehensive telecom infrastructure sharing agreement to share infrastructure created by both parties to avoid duplication of infrastructure wherever possible. A key agreement for international data connectivity with Bharti to utilise dedicated fiber pair of Bharti’s i2i submarine cable that connects India and Singapore.
JIO's agreement with Viom Networks was for their 42,000 telecom towers.
Few days back, Reliance Industries (RIL) Chairman & Managing Director Mukesh Ambani said Reliance JIO has "accelerated efforts to roll out state-of-the-art 4G services across the country.
