Poco F2 Spotted on Geekbench, Benchmark Listing Reveals Key Specifications

Follow Us

The Poco F1 has gained wide popularity in a very short time. Xiaomi sub-brand, Poco, is leaving no stone unturned to offer a better user experience to the Poco F1 users. The company recently upgraded the Poco F1 to Google's latest Android OS -- Android 9 Pie. After the success to the Poco F1, the company is seemingly working on its second phone and the successor to the F1, the Poco F2. This might excite the Poco fans, but the Geekbench listing of the Poco F2 shows that the phone might not be as exciting as the Poco F1. Why? The Poco F2 is also said to be powered by Snapdragon 845 and not the newly announced chipset by Qualcomm -- Snapdragon 855. The alleged Poco F2 was spotted on Geekbench and the benchmark listing revealed some of the key specs of the Poco F2. Although these specs aren't confirmed by Poco, they seem authentic.

Poco F2: Rumoured Specifications and Features

The most surprising bit that the Geekbench listing revealed about the Poco F2 is that the phone will come with Snapdragon 845, and not the latest 855 chipset. The benchmark listing also revealed that the Poco F2 would have a 6GB RAM model. We expect the Poco F2 to be available in two variants like the Poco F1 -- the base model with 6GB RAM while the top end model with 8GB RAM. As Poco has always gone out of its way to offer as much as it can to the users, there are high chances that the Poco F2 may have a 10GB RAM variant as well. This information, however, is yet to be confirmed by the company.

The Geekbench listing also reveals the single core and multi-core performance of the Poco F2. The Poco F2 scores 2321 on single core and 7564 on multi-core. Considering the tested Poco F2 could be a pre-production unit, the final model of the phone will be slightly more powerful and have a better benchmark score.

The benchmark listing also reveals that the Poco F2 will launch running on Android 9 Pie based on MIUI 10. Poco has recently upgraded the Poco F1 to the Android 9 Pie software based on MIUI 10. The Poco F1 was launched running on Android 8.1 Oreo. Overall, the Poco F2 may not be a much-upgraded version of the Poco F1 as far as the hardware setup is concerned, but the areas that Poco could work on for the Poco F2 might be the design and camera.

Poco F1: Specifications and Features

The phone includes a Full HD+ IPS LCD display paired with a screen resolution of 1080x2246 pixels and an aspect ratio of 18.7:9. On the hardware front, the Poco F1 includes Snapdragon 845 paired with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. On the rear panel, the Poco F1 includes a primary camera of a 12MP and secondary camera of 5MP. On the front, the phone includes a 20MP selfie camera. The phone is backed by a 4000mAh battery paired with Qualcomm's Quick Charge 3.0.
