Xiaomi Poco F1 Gets Permanent Price Cut of Rs 1,000 in India, Now Starts at Rs 19,999

Poco is leaving no stone unturned to leave its mark in the Indian smartphone industry. Working in line with the same, Poco India has now announced a Rs 1,000 price cut for the Poco F1. Unlike the previous price drops, this one is a permanent one. After the price cut, the Poco F1 is now available for a starting price of Rs 19,999. The Poco F1 will be available with the new price tag across all partner retail stores like Flipkart and also on Mi Homes and Mi.com. The Xiaomi sub-brand recently also announced that the Poco F1 now has 7 lakh users across the globe. “We are super pumped to announce that we have sold 700k units of #POCOF1 across the globe,” Poco had announced.

Poco F1 Price Cut in India

On account of celebrating the 7 lakh user base, Poco announced the Rs 1000 permanent price cut for the Poco F1. “POCO Fans, the celebrations are on! We're marking the 700K user milestone with the permanent price of ?1000 off across all variants of #POCOF1! Get the true #MasterOfSpeed exclusively on mi.com, @Flipkart and at Mi Home stores,” Poco announced.

To recollect, the Poco F1 was launched in four variants — 6GB RAM/64GB storage, 8GB RAM/256GB storage, 6GB RAM/ 128GB storage, and special Armoured Edition 8GB RAM/ 256GB storage with Kevlar back. As for the price, the 6GB/64GB model of the Poco F1 before the price cut was available for 20,999, the 8GB RAM/ 256GB storage variant for Rs 28,999, 6GB RAM/ 128GB storage for Rs 23,999 and the special Armored edition with 8GB RAM/256GB for Rs 29,999.

New Prices of Poco F1

After the price cut, the Poco F1 is available for a starting price of Rs 19,999. This price is for the 6GB RAM and 64GB storage model. The 8GB RAM/ 256GB storage sells for Rs 27,999, the special Armored edition with 8GB/256Gb storage is now available for Rs 28,999. And lastly, the 6GB RAM with 128GB of internal storage after the price cut is available for Rs 22,999.

Poco F1: Specifications and Features

The Poco F1 was launched in mid this year and soon after its launch, the hone created a lot of buzz in the smartphone space. This is because the Poco F1 the cheapest Snapdragon 845 phone available in the market right now. Now, after the price cut, the Poco F1 becomes the first smartphone worldwide, to be available under Rs 20,000 price tag.

As far as the specifications are concerned, the Poco F1 sports a 6.18-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD display with a 1080x2246 pixel resolution. The phone comes with an aspect ratio of 18.7:9. As for the camera setup, the Poco F1 comes with a dual rear camera system and a single sensor on the front. The phone comes with a wide notch on the front which includes the selfie cameras, the sensors and the earpiece.

As for the specs, on the back, the Poco F1 includes a primary camera of 12MP with f/1.9 aperture and a secondary camera of 5MP for depth sensing. On the front, the Poco F1 includes a 20MP selfie camera paired with soft LED flash and lots of AI.

On the software front, the Poco F1 was launched with Android 8.1 Oreo-based MIUI 9.6 software with a customised Poco launcher out-of-the-box. The smartphone has now been upgraded to MIUI 10 and will soon get the Android 9 Pie’s sweetness. Additionally, the Poco F1 includes a massive 4000mAh battery and supports Qualcomm's Quick Charge 3.0 and USB Type-C.
