Panasonic P85 NXT With 4000mAh Battery and Reverse Charging Feature Launched at Rs 6,999

Panasonic has unveiled a new entry-level smartphone in India, namely, the Panasonic P85 NXT. The smartphone is priced at Rs 6,999 and sports specifications such as Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 chipset, 4000mAh battery, Face Unlock and more. The P85 NXT is the latest smartphone to join the company's P series of phones in India. The phone also features the company's Arbo Hub which is powered by Artificial Intelligence. More importantly, it has the reverse charging feature something which we have seen on many Asus smartphones in the past. Panasonic is calling the reverse charging feature as 'Charging Bank.'

Panasonic P85 NXT: Specifications and Features

The Panasonic P85 NXT doesn't even come close to the Realme C1 in terms of performance. The phone features a 5-inch HD display with 16:9 aspect ratio, 2.5D curved glass and Corning Gorilla Glass 1 for protection. Under the hood, it has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 chipset, clubbed with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The phone accepts microSD cards up to 128GB.

This dual-SIM smartphone comes laden with dated Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box. Aforesaid, the phone has 'Arbo Hub' which is an artificial intelligence (AI)-powered hub that gives access to its users to multiple apps and services on a single platform.

"The device not only delivers supreme performance as it is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon Processor but also has a 4000 mAh battery. We believe, P85 NXT will be the quintessential solution-provider for individuals in the value-based smartphone segment," Pankaj Rana, Business Head-Mobility Division, Panasonic India, said in a statement.

The phone has a fingerprint sensor on the rear side and it also offers software-based Face Unlock. The device is equipped with a 4000mAh battery and is optimised with the "Charging Bank" feature which lets the device to be a power source to charge other devices.

In terms of camera specs, there's an 8MP auto-focus (AF) rear camera and 5MP front camera with flash. Connectivity options on the handset include 4G LTE, VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS and Micro USB port.

Panasonic P85 NXT: Pricing and Availability

Panasonic has launched the smartphone in a single variant with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage priced at Rs 6,999. The device can be picked up from retail stores across the country in three colour options- Black, Champagne Gold, and Dark Blue.

Panasonic P85 NXT: Competitors in India

The Panasonic P85 NXT in an offline-only model where it competes with the Redmi 6A which has a superior MediaTek Helio A22 chipset, 2GB of RAM, 16GB/32GB of internal storage, Android 8.1 Oreo-based MIUI 10 and Dual 4G support. The Panasonic P85 NXT scores on the battery front, but it loses on the display, processor, software and camera aspects.
