Oppo has already confirmed that it will be launching the Oppo F3 on May 4 in several countries at the same time. Till date, there are no leaks about the phone, but that’s going to change now as the phone has been spotted on popular benchmarking sites Geekbench and GFXBench along with full list of specifications by AndrioidPure.
Going by both the listings, the Oppo F3 will have a 5.5-inch Full HD display, which is also protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. As we predicted earlier, Oppo will be going with a MediaTek MT6750T chip, instead of the Snapdragon 653 that powers its bigger sibling, the F3 Plus.
The chipset in the phone will be accompanied by 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. It will also come with support for microSD card for storage expansion.
The Oppo F3 will feature the same dual front-facing camera like the F3 Plus with a 16MP conventional sensor and an 8MP wide-angle sensor for group selfies. Also, there will be a 13MP rear camera as well. The device runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow based Color OS on top, which is one of the heavily customised Android skin.
The device is backed by a smaller 3200mAh battery, compared to the 4000mAh unit seen on Oppo F3 Plus. It weighs 153 grams and measures 7.3mm in thickness.
As of now, there are no details on the pricing of the phone, but if Oppo keeps the pricing below Rs. 20,000, it will be a great deal. Yesterday, at the launch of Vivo V5s, the company claimed that the Vivo V5 had overshadowed the Rs. 15,000 to Rs. 20,000 price bracket and the USP was the selfie camera.
Oppo should also keep the pricing below Rs. 20,000 barring the MediaTek chip. Also, it will be the cheapest dual front-facing camera smartphone at whatever the price it launches because both the V5 Plus and Oppo F3 Plus are retailing above Rs. 25,000 in India.
