Oppo F3 Black Edition Launched; Will Go on Sale Starting June 4 at Rs. 19,990

Earlier this month, Chinese smartphone vendor Oppo launched the Oppo F3 smartphone in India. Back at the launch event in Mumbai, Oppo showcased a limited edition Black coloured variant of the Oppo F3 and claimed that it will be launched ahead of the Champions Trophy slated to start on June 1, 2017.

Today, the company officially announced the limited edition Oppo F3 with the same price tag of Rs. 19,990. Oppo also said that the phone will be available for purchase via online and offline stores from June 4- the same day when India and Pakistan are about to battle in their first game. The limited edition Oppo F3 also comes with a BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) logo printed at the back of the phone.

On the launch of the limited edition Oppo F3, Will Yang, Brand Director, OPPO India said in a statement, “The colour ‘Black’ is synonymous with style and suave. With a stylish edge to the new OPPO F3, we aim to give consumers a chance to make a style statement. With this auction, we aim to contribute towards the growth of the sport in India. We are proud and honoured to have this opportunity and be associated with the most loved sport in India.”

Besides the new black colour, the internals of the phone isn't changed. The Oppo F3 comes with a 5.5-inch Full HD display with a resolution of 1080x1920 pixels, layered with 2.5D curved glass on top. It is powered by the MediaTek MT6750T chipset with a 1.5GHz octa-core CPU, paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The Mali-T860 GPU handles the graphics in the Oppo F3.

The highlight of the Oppo F3 is its dual front-facing cameras. There are two sensors up front of 16MP and 8MP. The 16MP camera captures standard selfies, while the 8MP sensor captures 120-degree wide-angle selfies. There's a 13MP rear camera with support for LED flash. The front-facing cameras come with screen flash support.

The Oppo F3 has a fingerprint sensor integrated into its home button, which is not clickable. This dual-SIM smartphone comes laden with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow based Color OS 3.0. A 3200mAh non-removable battery backs the Oppo F3. The connectivity options in the phone include 4G LTE, VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11/b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS, and micro USB port.
