We have been expecting this for quite some time now, and here it comes out of the veil (a mere glance though). The OnePlus 2 smartphone’s mini version, which is dubbed as the OnePlus Mini. Two months ago, the smartphone surfaced on GFXBench results, and now in the latest scoop, the device has received TENAA certification too.
TENAA is a Chinese telecommunications certification authority, which has listed the OnePlus Mini with the codename One E1000, along with some pictures and specifications.
As per the One E1000 (OnePlus 2 Mini) TENAA listing, the device will have a OnePlus X-like design, and will be available in a White colour variant. The listing suggests the device to come with a 4.9-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) AMOLED display. It will run Android 5.1 Lollipop, and will be powered by a 2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor coupled with Adreno 430 GPU and 3GB RAM. It will feature 16GB of internal storage, which will be expandable up to 128GB via microSD card. The listing also mentions a A 13-megapixel primary camera along with an 8-megapixel selfie camera. It will measure 140x69x6.9mm, weigh 138 grams, and will come with connectivity options such as 4G, Bluetooth, GPS and Wi-Fi.
On many levels, these specifications by TENAA do not match the ones mentioned by GFXBench. In accordance with the listing by GFXBench, the OnePlus 2 Mini is going to come with a 4.6-inch display, 1.7GHz Snapdragon 810 processor, 4GB of RAM, 64GB non-expandable internal storage, a 12-megapixel primary camera, and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.
All being stated, these leaks are just leaks by the end of the day and should be taken with a pinch of salt. Until now, OnePlus has not hinted even a bit about the forthcoming mini variant of the OnePlus 2, so we still gotta wait till the company opens up about it.
