NTT DATA Launches New AI Tool to Accelerate Generative AI Adoption
Digital business and IT services company NTT DATA announced the international launch of its new artificial intelligence (AI) tool, Smart AI Agent, on Tuesday. "This advanced AI tool is a cornerstone of the company's strategy to accelerate the adoption of Generative AI, with an estimated USD 2 billion in revenue that we aim to achieve from Smart AI Agent-related business by 2027," NTT DATA said.

NTT DATA Unveils Smart AI Agent

The Smart AI Agent will first be rolled out to the US, China, and several European countries, with a broader global availability.

The Smart AI Agent autonomously extracts, organises, and executes tasks in response to user instructions. It complements existing workforces while streamlining time-consuming processes.

By enhancing efficiency across industries, the Smart AI Agent enables businesses to rapidly evaluate and deploy Generative AI applications, optimising workflows and driving greater productivity.

Enhancing Business Efficiency

According to the company, the new tool is already creating an impact in key sectors, such as improving DevOps data analysis efficiency in the automotive industry, enhancing regulatory reporting processes for the banking sector, and optimising the marketing cycle for a major gas manufacturer.

The Smart AI Agent offers capabilities such as advanced task planning, multi-agent collaboration, and Advanced retrieval-augmented generation (RAG). These features empower businesses to deploy AI-driven solutions faster and with higher accuracy. Key sectors benefiting from the technology include automotive, banking, and manufacturing.

In March 2025, the introduction of User-in-the-Loop (UITL) capabilities will enable continuous improvement of agent workflows based on user feedback, creating a cycle of autonomous optimisation, NTT DATA added.

Support and Cloud Deployment Options

The solution includes consulting, implementation, and ongoing support, with options for both public and private cloud deployments to ensure security and compliance.

The Smart AI Agent also aims to address the global talent gap by automating repetitive tasks, freeing up workforces to focus on more strategic activities.
