Nokia Partners with Ishan Technologies to Modernise Broadband Infrastructure
Nokia announced on Tuesday that it has partnered with Ishan Technologies Private Limited, an Indian internet service provider, to enhance broadband services in Gujarat and Maharashtra. As part of the collaboration, Nokia will deploy its solutions, including the Altiplano Software-Defined Access Network (SDAN) solution, Broadband Network Gateway (BNG), Data Center Fabric, and IP/MPLS transport networks, to deliver high-speed internet to retail and enterprise customers.

Infrastructure Modernisation

According to Nokia, the upgraded network will automate service activation and provisioning, enabling faster rollout of new services, reducing operational costs, and enhancing customer experiences. This modernisation initiative will support demand for cloud-based services and future-proof Ishan Technologies' infrastructure to meet rising bandwidth requirements.

Key Technologies Deployed by Nokia

Under the agreement, Nokia will deploy its Lightspan DF-16GM Optical Line Terminals (OLTs), dual-band Optical Network Terminals (ONTs), 7250 IXR routers, and 7220 IXR Data Center Fabric to enhance core and transport networks. Data centers in Mumbai and Chennai will also be upgraded with Nokia’s equipment, supported by the Altiplano Access Platform and Network Service Platform (NSP). Additionally, Nokia will conduct training programs to enable Ishan’s team to independently manage and maintain the solutions.

Director and CMO at Ishan Technologies, said: "Our enhanced infrastructure will benefit our 256,000 subscribers, introducing gigabit broadband services for the small and medium enterprises and corporate customers. With Nokia's advanced solutions, we are enhancing our network capabilities to meet the growing demand for high-speed internet services today and beyond."
