Extension of coverage

Movistar said it has improved its network by installing new LTE coverage points in the east, west, and north of the country. This will bring the latest technology to 250 areas where only lower-capacity data networks were available before.

Movistar stated that the first stage of modernizing the 5G Ready infrastructure and expanding LTE coverage was completed by June 2023. The company affirms its commitment to further invest in expanding coverage before the end of this year.

"We invite all people to try and use the new Movistar network, whether by transmitting content, browsing the web, using their favourite apps or making calls. We have worked hard to modernise our network in an integral way to be the speed that moves El Salvador," said Movistar El Salvador.
