Motorola is on a roll of late. The Lenovo-owned company is launching mobile phones under the 'One' series back to back to get back into the smartphone business. After launching the Motorola One Zoom, Motorola One Macro and Motorola One Action, the company is all set to introduce a new member called 'Motorola One Hyper.' The One Hyper will likely debut on December 3 in Brazil, post which it may reach other markets. Motorola has sent out an invite for the One Hyper launch event which shows the upcoming phone will have a pop-up selfie camera. Notably, this will be the company's first phone to feature a pop-up camera on the front taking on the likes of Redmi K20, Realme X and so on.

Motorola One Hyper Launch Set for December 3: What We Know So Far

Brazil is the biggest market for Motorola, so the company unveils every new smartphone in the same market. And it's not changing with the Motorola One Hyper as well as the company has sent out media invites for an event to be held on December 3 in Brazil. The invite which was revealed by AndroidPIT clearly shows the upcoming Motorola phone will have a pop-up selfie camera. That said, Motorola did confirm the name of the smartphone, but rumours indicate the handset will indeed be the long-rumoured Motorola One Hyper.

In addition, the Motorola One Hyper was also spotted on FCC website recently with model number- XT2027-1, which indicates the launch of the One Hyper is right around the corner.

As for the rumoured specifications, the Motorola One Hyper is said to sport a 6.69-inch Full HD+ display with a pop-up selfie camera. Under the hood, the phone will likely come with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 chipset, coupled with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Several mid-range phones coming out these days are having a maximum of 8GB of RAM, so it will be interesting to see whether Motorola goes for such mammoth amount of RAM.

The One Hyper is rumoured to ship with a dual rear camera setup comprising of 64MP primary shooter and an 8MP secondary shooter. Details of the sensors are unknown at the moment. The pop-up camera module is said to include a 32MP shooter. The smartphone will also be part of Android One programme and we may see a 4000mAh battery backing the handset.

Motorola One Hyper Likely to Launch in India as Well

Motorola used to be one of the dominant brands in the mid-range segment back in 2017. However, after the Moto G5 series launch, the company' strategy has changed a lot as it started focussing on the offline market. For example, the Moto G6 Plus with Snapdragon 630 SoC was priced at Rs 22,499. But this year, Motorola has been pretty aggressive with the models like Motorola One Vision, Motorola One Action, Moto G8 Plus and Motorola One Macro.

The Motorola One Macro features MediaTek Helio P70 SoC and a dedicated macro sensor, yet it's priced at Rs 9,999. The Moto G8 Plus' pricing came as a surprising aspect to many as the phone has some decent features and it's retailing at Rs 13,999. We're expecting Motorola to launch the One Hyper smartphone in India very soon under Rs 20,000 to offer a full-screen display experience and powerful Android One handset taking on the likes of Redmi K20, Realme X and the Oppo Reno 2F.
