Motorola is trying to increase its reach outside Flipkart’s bubble in India. The company has now tied up with Amazon as well to sell its smartphones — Moto G (3rd Gen) and Moto G Turbo Edition. As of now, the Moto G (third-generation) 16GB variant is up for sale on Amazon at Rs. 10,999, while the 8GB variant will be up for grabs by the end of this week. The Moto G Turbo Edition will be up for purchase from tomorrow onwards.
This is not the first time that Motorola has tried to end its exclusivity with Flipkart. Last year, in September, the company announced the sale of the Moto E 2015 on Snapdeal, which was later followed by the listing of Moto 360 (2nd Gen) smartwatch on Amazon India in January 2016. Also, Motorola’s latest offering, the Moto X Force was launched on Amazon and Flipkart simultaneously. Moreover, the Moto E (2nd Gen) is also available on Amazon although Motorola has not made any official announcement about it yet.
