Micromax has been in the news or the right reasons. The Home grown manufacturer is basking in the glory after overtaking Samsung when it came to total smartphone shipments in India. Micromax has decided to dedicatedly cater to the needs of the Indian consumers.
Micromax is on the verge of unveiling its latest offering the Unite Anthem A290 which will be a mark of tribute to the Indian freedom. Micromax had recently released a New Unite Anthem to reciprocate the Unity of the nation.
The Micromax Unite A290 will sport a 4.7 inch HD display. It will run on Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box. Surprisingly the Unite A290 will be powered by a mighty 1.4GHz Octa Core processor which we reckon will be the MediaTek MT6582 in cahoots with Mali MP4 GPU. The RAM will be 1GB.
The Unite Anthem will feature a 8Megapixel primary camera borrowed from the Canvas L and a powerful 5megapixel secondary camera along with LED flash. The 4.7 inch HD screen is set at an resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels which translates into a whopping pixel density of 312.4ppi. The Unite Anthem has an onboard memory of 8GB and an expandable memory slot which can accommodate upto 32GB.
Connectivity options include 3G, Wi-Fi, GPS and FM Radio. Micromax is seriously pegging their devices in the 8k-11k range and it goes without saying that they want to fill the void of good devices at this price point. The information about the pricing is still murky and we expect the Unite Anthem to be priced around Rs 10,000 to Rs 12,000.
