BSNL has been appearing in several media forums due to the fact that it has been negating troubled waters from the past couple of years. This time around BSNL has launched special promotional offers exclusively for the Tamil Nadu circle.
As Part of the promotional offer the installation charge for Urban Landline connection (Rs 375) and for Rural connection (Rs 275) will be waived off. This move is aimed at increasing the number of Landline subscribers.
The installation fee of Rs 125 for new Broadband connections will also be waived off for the connections taken over the existing landline. Additionally BSNL has also decided to waive off Rs 500 for new customers availing the Land Line plus Broad Band combo.
BSNL has probably launched this offer exclusively for Tamil Nadu circle to take a pulse of the consumers response and later on they may make it a Pan India offer. BSNL needs to also tidy up their after sales and maintenance.
