M-tech Sathi is the first feature phone from the affordable mobile phone manufacturer aimed at senior citizens. M-tech launched Sathi feature phone which is a senior-friendly phone at a price of Rs 1,299 in India. According to M-tech, the Sathi promises to make the lives of senior citizens easier and be a true companion at all times. The feature phone offers a 2-inch screen, extra-large keypads, on-screen fonts, bold keypad and icons for better visibility.

M-tech Sathi Features and Specifications

The M-tech Sathi has a 2-inch horizontal wide-screen and comes with a keypad. The keypad sound on the phone will be helpful to senior citizens with the hearing problem as it adds an extra touch of usefulness. The feature phone also comes with SOS button for security and medical emergency. The M-tech Sathi has Braille support, which is tactile writing system used by people who are visually impaired. Other features include 1800mAh battery, one-page menu localisation, rear VGA camera and FM Radio.

Furthermore, M-tech stated that Sathi offers two bonus features bearing in mind the unique needs and everyday lifestyle of the elderly. Firstly, it is the only phone in its segment to offer a Bluetooth dialer that allows users to connect this phone with their smartphone, and make/receive a call without touching their smartphone. Second, is the Alerts feature that allows users to set alerts according to their preference. For example, users can set water alert or medicine alert

Speaking on the launch, Mr Goutam Kumar Jain, Co-Founder, M-tech Informatics Ltd, said, "Elderly in general and our parents, in particular, deserve the best just the way they ensured the best for us when we were young. The elderly have unique requirements and need care and support at every step. They need to stay connected with their loved ones, ensure personal safety and be entertained. M-tech Sathi Pricing and Availability

The M-tech Sathi has been priced at Rs 1,299 and it's the most affordable feature phone in the senior-friendly phone segment. The feature phone can be purchased in multiple colour options- Black, Silver and Gold. The product is available across the country at 20,000 retail points of all formats and leading e-commerce sites like Amazon, Flipkart, Snapdeal, Shopclues, Paytm and more e-commerce portals.
