After Google announced the newest version of Android, the Android 5.0 Lollipop, LG was one of the first smartphone vendors to start pushing out the software update to its smartphone users. Poland was the first country to receive the update and now, and then it was released in Korea. LG then started pushing out the update to other European countries such as Austria, Belgium, Germany, Italy, the Baltics, Croatia, Hungary, Spain, the UK, Portugal, and Romania. Now it is being reported that LG G3 has started receiving Android 5.0 Lollipop update in India.
It is being reported by the guys at DigiPassion that the Update Center showed 13 app updates for native apps like Quick Memo, FM Radio, etc. As displayed in the screenshots above, LG's custom UI has been redesigned with Google's Material UI design principles.
The update brings improved and more transparent notification centre with new quick setting toggles, support for notifications on the lock screen, a Siri like app called as the 'Voice Mate', new functions when the phone is flipped, new UI animations and transition effects, Colour Inversion feature, and new stacked cards style multitasking menu. The update also brings ART runtime for faster app loading and improved RAM as well as Project Volta for better battery management.
