jio vs vodafone idea rs 189 plan

Reliance Jio and Vodafone Idea (Vi) are the two of the telecom operators in India. Jio is the first ranked player, while Vodafone Idea is the third-ranked player. Both companies today offer their customers a Rs 189 plan. But whose offering is actually better? Is it Jio, which has always been considered cheaper, or is it Vodafone Idea, which is trying to match up with the competition in terms of network and revenues. Let's take a detailed look at the benefits of both the plans to understand that.

Reliance Jio Rs 189 Plan

Reliance Jio Rs 189 plan comes with unlimited voice calling, 2GB of data, and 300 SMSes in total. The data speed drops to 64 Kbps post the consumption of FUP (fair usage policy) data. There are two add-on benefits with this plan - JioTV and JioAICloud. The active service validity of this plan is 28 days.

Vodafone Idea Rs 189 Plan

Vodafone Idea Rs 189 plan comes with unlimited voice calling, 1GB of data, 300 SMS and 26 days of service validity. There are no add-on benefits bundled with the Rs 189 plan from Vi.

Which Plan is Better?

Vodafone Idea's Rs 189 plan is not as good here. Jio's plan offers more validity (2 days more), and then there's also more data bundled. With Jio, users get 2GB of data, while Vi offers 1GB of data, and there are add-on benefits with Jio too.

Here, there's no such option from Bharti Airtel. Jio's plan is clearly the best to keep the primary SIM active right now. Vi's networks are not only inferior to Jio in many ways, but even its plans appear to be slightly more expensive. This would unlikely be helpful for the telco to add new customers.
