Expanding its budget offerings, itel Mobile has introduced its latest dual-aperture camera smartphone, the S21. According to the company, the S21 is India’s first and only smartphone under the Rs. 6,000 budget to offer a dual front camera feature.

Speaking on the launch, itel & Spice Devices, Sudhir Kumar, said, “S21, like other products in our smartphone portfolio is a masterpiece. We have focussed extensively on building market disrupting technologies and developing out-of-the-box innovations, and S21 is yet another example of our excellence in delivering aspirational value to our consumers."

The budget smartphone comes with a dual front camera setup with a 2MP + 5MP sensor combination with a panoramic field view of 120 degrees. The device also packs an 8MP rear camera with autofocus, face detection, and other picture enhancement features. The device sports a 5-inch IPS display with blue-ray eye protection and sunlight display and flaunts a metal body design.

Under the hood, the S21 is powered by a 64-bit quad-core MediaTek processor paired with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory, alongside a Mali-T860 MP1 GPU clocking at 400MHz. The onboard memory can be further expanded up to 32GB via a microSD card slot. The phone runs on Android Nougat 7.0 OS and is 4G VoLTE and ViLTE enabled. The S21 enables its users to success dual social media accounts including WhatsApp, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

The S21 is backed by a 2,700mAh battery with battery optimization technology, which the company claims can offer 2G talktime of 18 hours, 3G talktime of 15 hours, 4G talktime of up to 10 hours, and a standby time of 350 hours. The smartphone comes with additional features such as Accelerate, App Freeze, App Lock, Power Saver, and Carl care. The S21 is available in India at a price of Rs. 5,999 in three colour options – Moonlight Silver, Champagne Gold, and Elegant Black.
