Oppo F5 With 20MP AI Selfie Camera and 6-inch Full HD+ Display Launched at Rs. 19,990

Chinese brand Oppo has launched a new smartphone in the Indian market today, dubbed, the Oppo F5. Priced at Rs. 19,990, the Oppo F5 is expected to take the selfie game to a whole new level with its 20MP Artifical Intelligence backed selfie camera. The Oppo F5 will be available in both offline and online channels starting November 9.

Oppo F5 Price and Availability

Oppo has launched the device in three variants- the standard Oppo F5, Oppo F5 6GB Edition, and the Oppo F5 Youth Edition. The Oppo F5 base variant is priced at Rs. 19,990 and it comes in two colour options- Gold and Black. The Oppo F5 6GB Edition is priced at Rs. 24,990 and comes in Red and Black colours. Lastly, the Oppo F5 Youth Edition comes in Black and Gold colours, and the price of the Youth Edition is yet to be revealed by the company. The base variant will be starting November 9, whereas the 6GB RAM and Youth variant will be available starting December 2017.

Oppo F5 Specifications

The Oppo F5 was originally unveiled in Phillippines on October 26. With the Oppo F5, the Chinese company joins the bezel-less bandwagon. The smartphone comes with a 6-inch Full HD+ display with a resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels that further translates to a pixel density of 402 PPI. All the three variants feature the same display.

Internally, the smartphone is powered by the MediaTek MT6763T (Helio P23) chipset, which is paired with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The Oppo F5 6GB comes with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Graphics in the device will be taken care by Mali-G71 MP2 GPU. All the three variants come with microSD card slot to expand the storage.

Talking about the highlight of the Oppo F5, it comes with an AI-backed 20MP selfie camera which has f/2.0 aperture and 1/2.8-inch sensor. The F5 also offers a bokeh mode which blurs the background in the images. Talking about the rear camera, the Oppo F5 has a 16MP sensor with f/1.8 aperture and Phase Detection Autofocus. It also comes with dual-LED flash.

Oppo has added all the connectivity options such as the Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS, and a micro USB port. The Oppo F5 runs Android 7.1 Nougat based ColorOS 3.2. This entire package is backed by a 3200mAh battery and has support for Oppo's proprietary VOOC charging tech.

Thanks to the 18:9 display on the front, the Oppo F5 has a fingerprint sensor on the back. The phone comes with other sensors such as an accelerometer, proximity, and compass.
