As expected, Apple has officially announced a price cut for its iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus in India (up to Rs. 22,000). The Cupertino giant has also slashed the pricing of the iPhone SE (by Rs. 5,000). The launch pricing of the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus was Rs. 62,000 and Rs. 72,000 respectively.

As per the new price list after the price drop, the iPhone 6s 128GB model will now retail at Rs. 60,000 (initially launched at Rs. 82,000). The iPhone 6s Plus 128GB model will now be selling at Rs 70,000 (launched at Rs 92,000). The iPhone SE 64GB model will now cost Rs. 44,000 (launched at Rs. 49,000).

Even though these are the official price cut rates published by Apple, but we expect third-party retailers to sell these devices at even lower rates. To conclude, we think that Apple has slashed the pricing of these phones to make way for iPhone 7 lineup launch in India, which is slated for October 7. The iPhone 7 base model starts at 32GB storage, unlike the iPhone 6s whose base model came with 16GB storage.

As per its official website, the 128GB and 256GB variants of the smartphone will be selling at Rs, 70,000 and Rs. 80,000, respectively. The base model (32GB storage) of the iPhone 7 Plus is priced at Rs. 72,000, while the 128GB and 256GB storage variants will retail at Rs. 82,000 and Rs. 92,000, respectively. The much-talked about Jet Black will only be available for 128GB and 256GB storage variants of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus.
