idea-logoIdea cellular today slashed its STD Tariff in UP west to offer STD call charges at a rate for 75 paisa per minute to avail this one has to recharge with Rs 54 though this offer is valid for a limited period, and is applicable for all new and existing subscribers of IDEA in UP West region.

Speaking on the launch, Mr. Virad Kaul, Chief Operating Officer Uttar Pradesh West, IDEA Cellular said, UP West is a strategic market for us and we see great potential here the introduction of this special STD tariff will give an opportunity to our customers to make calls across India at extremely affordable rates.
There is a perception that STD calls are expensive and we hope that through this limited offer our customers will be able to make STD calls to their near and dear one regularly.

Also this is in line with our overall strategy of providing affordable and innovative mobile services, and will help us grow our market share further, in UP West.”With over 4.2 million subscribers, IDEA Cellular is one of the largest GSM mobile operators in UP West.

IDEA ia asking for KYC and filling up CAF for retail outlets in kolkata, Easy Recharge SIM is to be handed over on 21-22nd sep 09. Tariff sounds to be attractive @20p for all local and 50p for STD. Lets see wat they actually offer though network would be bad for atleast 3-4 months to come in kolkata.


now airtel also gives STD @ 75 paise on recharge with Rs 53
