I have noticed one thing. Whatever be the situation of markets, idea cellular always maintains a healthy balance sheet and even saw rise in profits when other telcos saw a decline. Well, Idea really has good services in UP E for sure, i am currently here and using my airtel number on idea 3G UPE and also other local idea SIM and enjoying good services but as people have said here, voice clarity has always been a concern here. Its not that clear as Vodafone and airtel in delhi( airtel sucks here i.e in UPE).
