Huawei Nexus 6P and the LG Nexus 5X were unveiled by Google during the last week of September, and they were launched in India a month later. The Nexus 6P is available in 32GB and 64GB storage variants and in Silver and Grey colours. However, the Chinese smartphone giant launched a special gold coloured variant of the device in Japan. The company had announced its plans to launch the Huawei Nexus 6P 'Special Edition' with 64GB internal storage in India starting next week, and the device is already listed on Flipkart for Rs 43,999.
Allen Wang, President of the Consumer Device Business Group at Huawei India, said, "The Huawei Nexus 6P has been well received by the Indian audience and keeping in mind the niche target group, we have introduced the Gold color Special Edition of the smartphone." Other than the new gold-coloured exterior, there's nothing different in the Special Edition when compared to the normal Nexus 6P. The device will be available exclusively through Flipkart. In other news, the LG Nexus 5X 16GB has had a sharp price drop, and is available for as low as Rs 23,400 currently.
The Huawei Nexus 6P, which is the successor to the Motorola Nexus 6 from last year, runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box. It also features a 5.7-inch QHD AMOLED display, Snapdragon 810 processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB/64GB of internal storage space, a 12.3-megapixel primary camera with Laser Autofocus, an 8-megapixel secondary camera, 4G LTE, and a 3,450 mAh battery. The Nexus 6P is currently available in India for Rs 39,999 and Rs 42,999 for 32GB and 64GB variants respectively.
