Last month Huawei MediaPad M2 was spotted at an official Huawei store in Paris and today, the company has made the device official. The MediaPad M2 is a tablet with a Full HD IPS display of 8-inches with ClariVu technology that is equipped with sensors to change the display mode as per the surrounding.
The device is powered by a 64-bit 2GHz Kirin 930 octa-core processor paired with 2GB / 3GB LPDDR3 RAM (depending on the variant). It runs Android 5.1 Lollipop with Huawei’s Emotion UI 3.1 on top. There is an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash along with a 2-megapixel front camera. It comes with 16GB/32GB of internal storage (again, depending on the variant), which can be further enhanced up to 128GB via microSD card.
The Huawei MediaPad M2 features a metal unibody design with dual stereo speakers equipped with harman/kardon and HIFI Codec Hi6402 with Power Amplifier (PA) and Clari-Fi real audio technology that makes playing games and viewing videos worth watching on the tablet. In terms of connectivity, it supports 4G LTE (cat.4), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS and is backed by a 4800mAh battery.

The MediaPad M2 will be available in Gold and Silver colors and will initially be retailing in China, Western Europe and the South Pacific. Thereafter, it will be available in Russia, North and Eastern Europe and Japan. There is no information regarding the price yet, we hope Huawei will soon reveal the pricing as well.
