As per all the leaks and rumors that have surfaced recently about HTC’s upcoming flagship, the One M10 Perfume, one thing is sure that it won’t be making a debut at MWC 2016. The smartphone is dubbed to launch a bit late, maybe on April 11. However, its late arrival is not affecting the amount of leaks that are surfacing every now and then.
A new report about the device has tipped its camera hardware. It suggests that there will be a 12-megapixel Sony IMX 377 sensor on the rear of the device with a pixel size of 1.55 um. The same sensor is used in the Huawei Nexus 6P, which got many accolades for its camera performance by DxOMark. There will be other camera features onboard as well, such as laser-assisted autofocus and phase detection autofocus (PDAF).
The front camera will be equipped with HTC’s usual UltraPixel technology, but its sensor is going to be 5-megapixel Samsung s5k4e6, which has 1.34µm pixel size - smaller than 2µm that is found on original UltraPixel cameras. Moreover, both the front and rear cameras are expected to be equipped with the Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) feature, which the Nexus 6P lacks.
As far as the other specifications about the HTC M10 Perfume are concerned, we have plenty of information based on recent leaks. The smartphone is expected to come with a QHD AMOLED display, which might be 5.1 or 5.2-inches in size. It might be powered by a Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 chipset clubbed with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable internal storage. The reports also list fingerprint sensor on the specifications list, which is most likely to be embedded in the home button. In terms of software, the One M10 Perfume is expected to run Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with HTC’s in-house Sense 8 on top.
However, at the end of the day, these are just leaks and nothing is confirmed by HTC yet, so all of it must be taken with a pinch of salt. What do you think about this upcoming flagship by HTC? Do these rumored specs impress you? Let us know through the comments section below.
