Hawe Telekom Selects Infinera ICE6 800G for High-capacity Services in Poland
Infinera announced that Hawe Telekom, Poland's wholesale operator, has chosen Infinera's ICE6 800G coherent solution to provide high-capacity wholesale services to network operators in Poland, along with interconnections to neighbouring countries via its Frankfurt-Warsaw-Vilnius route.

Super High-speed Delivery Product

According to Infinera, Hawe Telekom selected Infinera's ICE6 based on its optical performance, as demonstrated during a live network trial from Frankfurt to Warsaw. By leveraging Infinera's ICE6 800G solution, Hawe Telekom will launch its "Super Highspeed Delivery" product, a unique service offering that provides its customers with nx100G services that can be activated within 48 hours.

Hawe Telekom Services

Hawe Telekom provides comprehensive and critical telecommunications services to fixed and mobile telephone network operators in Poland, cable television providers, internet providers, and all-fibre optic network operators through the Hawe National Fibre-Optic Network.

Hawe Telekom is said to be currently making new investments and expanding its reach by building unique interconnection routes at the Polish border, thereby ensuring that its services also reach other neighbouring countries in the Central European region.

Frankfurt - Warsaw Trial

The trial between Frankfurt and Warsaw was conducted with Infinera's partner, FCA, and delivered high-performance 600G and 800G transmissions on Hawe Telekom's national and international routes over its existing optical line system, according to the statement.

Infinera's ICE6 800G solution

The official release highlighted that with Infinera's ICE6 800G solution, Hawe Telekom will be able to deliver the highest capacity services at the lowest cost per bit and power per bit to its customers, allowing them to cost-effectively keep up with the ever-increasing bandwidth demand.

Infinera stated that by deploying Infinera's ICE6 solution, Hawe Telekom can efficiently meet bandwidth demands, scale as necessary, and deliver secure, high-capacity services at the lowest possible cost.
