Google launched the LG Nexus 5X and Huawei Nexus 6P smartphones last month. The metal-clad Nexus 6P debuted in India at a price tag of Rs. 39,999 for the 32GB variant, and Rs. 42,999 for the 64GB variant. At the time of launching, Google revealed that both the devices will be available for purchase in India from October, but that didn’t follow for the Nexus 6P.
The Nexus 6P got listed on Flipkart for pre-ordering, and the listing mentioned the shipping date on November 2. Today, Huawei announced that it will be shipping the device in batches, so as to ensure smooth delivery cycle. The company released a statement, “To ensure a smooth demand-supply cycle, Huawei will be sending out the smartphones in batches to be delivered to India starting in the first week of November”.
Talking about the response for the device in India, P. Sanjeev, Vice President Sales, Huawei & Honor India, said,”We are enthralled by the response to the Nexus 6P and thankful to all the Nexus fans who pre-booked the smartphone. Our supply chain is working on priority to fulfill the demand, and the smartphones will be shipped out in batches. The first batch of the smartphone will be available in India from first week of November. We are working closely with Flipkart and our retail partners on the availability of the smartphones to the Nexus 6P fans.”
Presently, only the 32GB variant of the Nexus 6P is in stock on Flipkart. Also, the device will only be available in Aluminium and Graphite color options in India. Shipments have started for the consumers who ordered the Nexus 6P via Google’s official stores. Going by worldwide reports, the supply of the Nexus 6P is falling short globally, which means that customers might have to wait a little more before getting the device in their hands.
