Gionee has announced yet another smartphone in its Pioneer series, named as Pioneer P3S. The phone has been priced at Rs. 5,999, and will be available for purchase in India from this week.
The Gionee Pioneer P3S comes with a 4.5-inch FWVGA display with a resolution of 480x854 pixels, and is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6580 chipset paired with 1GB of RAM. The device runs Android 5.1 Lollipop with Gionee’s in-house Amigo 3.1 UI on top, and features 16GB internal storage, which can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD card. The phone is a substantial upgrade over Pioneer P3, which was launched in December 2013. The Pioneer P3S has a better battery, storage, and a bigger display than its predecessor.
It sports a 5-megapixel primary camera and a VGA front-facing camera. In terms of connectivity, the phone supports dual-SIM, 3G, Wi-Fi, GPS/ A-GPS, GPRS/ EDGE, Bluetooth, Micro-USB, and is backed by a 2,000 mAh battery. The device will be available in White, Grey, Red, and Golden color options. The Gionee Pioneer P3S also features ‘extreme mode’, which is touted to enhance the battery back-up by 10 percent.
