Gaana revives music streaming experience via its new Facebook Messenger Bot

Gaana brings India’s first music streaming bot. This Facebook Gaana Messenger Bot comes with several features including personalized music recommendations, create the playlist based on the conversations with friends, wallet integrations, etc.

Gaana Facebook Messenger Bot is claimed to be the world’s first music streaming bot inside messenger app. “Gaana has always been proactive on customer connect initiatives and the Facebook bot messenger in a brilliant initiative on this front. A lot of our customers are very active on our facebook page and we wanted to give them more interaction to get real-time information from Gaana right from their facebook page. We expect this to be the great tool to drive consumer engagement,” said Prashan Agarwal, Chief Operating Officer of Gaana.

At the time of launch, the bot provides updates on fresh content, search music, send feedback to Gaana, visit website or app directly from the Messenger. Using the share, users can share their favorite content with their Facebook friends. Besides these features offered, the users can customize the bot by visiting m.me/gaana.com.

In future, Gaana plans to increase the features of the Bot. Primarily, the Gaana Facebook Messenger Bot will start to offer smart conversations and users will be allowed to sync the bot with their Gaana profile to receive more personalized music recommendations. They will also be able to create playlists based on their conversations with friends.

Gaana has a wide range of genres of music in its library. According to the company, it has over 10 million Hindi songs, Bollywood music, English MP3 songs, regional music, Radio, etc. In 2015, it announced a partnership with The Orchard, a pioneering music, film and video distribution company. Over 7 million indie songs have been included in Gaana’s catalog via this partnership, exclusively for India, taking the total catalog size to a whopping 10 million songs. Gaana has over 12 million registered users.
