CtrlS Doubles Grid Power
CtrlS stated that increasing the power capacity from 150 MW to 300 MW makes its Gas Insulated Substation (GIS) the only substation in Asia capable of supporting 300 MW of power capacity, with future scalability up to 700 MW to accommodate growing demands.
Automation and Sustainability
According to the official release, the GIS is fully automated and guarantees 100 percent uptime. It integrates three power sources to minimise dependency on generators and reduce carbon emissions. The system features a (2+1) power supply configuration, advanced LILO plus radial incoming 220 kV feeders, and 24 by 7 monitoring via a redundant SCADA system.
"The deployment of a 300 MW GIS scalable to 700 MW underscores our commitment to the industry as we continue to address the growing needs of hyperscalers, telcos, BFSI, healthcare, gaming, and new-age companies," the company said.

Long-Term Reliability
Additionally, CtrlS noted that the GIS has an operational life of over 50 years, requires no maintenance for 25 years, and is protected against aggressive environmental conditions. This ensures that the Mumbai Data Center campus can support the critical and power-intensive operations of its customers.
