BSNL revises its broadband plans for Chennai and Karnataka circles with slight increase in tariffs

BSNL has announced revision to its broadband plans in Chennai and Karnataka circles. Fixed monthly charges of broadband plans have been increased by Rs. 15 – Rs. 30 across different plans. The new tariffs will come into effect in both these circles starting January 01, 2016.

The BSNL broadband plans BBG 375, BBG ULD 542, BBG Combo ULD 675, BBG Combo ULD 845, BBG Combo ULD 845 CS50, BBG Combo ULD 945, and BBG Combo ULD 999 have been revised to new tariffs in the Karnataka circle. While BBG Combo ULD 675, BBG Combo ULD 845, BBG Combo ULD 999, and BBG Combo ULD 999 CS13 are revised in the Chennai circle.

    BSNL has further clarified that existing customers, who are already under annual payment option, will not be charged with the revised tariff till the expiry of their current annual subscription. However, new subscribers taking annual option will be charged as per the revised tariff structure.

    YES!! BSNL doesn’t show any kind of real customer support- even in UPDATING their ‘supposed to be’ SELF CARE PORTAL. While I, an 84 year old customer w/ BSNL for more than 3 decades & almost confined to my home, because of advancing age, restricting my outing to visit personally even to my bank/ BSNL customer care counters etc.,, utilising the self care portal on 01/06/2016, at about 05 hrs. early in the morning, to UPGRADE my BB combo plan from 699 to the infr. as available at that portal, which was 999 only, I was able to contact the… Read more »

    BSNL is cheating customers without intimating the changes. Last time they changed the unlimited night usage plan to limited usage plan without informing public, simply looted thousands of rupees from each connection. and with the speed they provide they deserve only INR 100 per month, not more than that. Better use Act, Tikona etc.. where they provide good speed and usage at reasonable price.

    Though BSNL has increased the tariff and said they will give 1GB broad band service but it is not. I am finding it diificult to connect my smart phone even for the swmall distance away, and finding irt difficult to cnnect. The BSNL should ensure good service at least keeping the 1GB service; if not I amy also change to other service provider who gives better service.
