Bharti Airtel has started providing double talk time benefit with its Rs 65 Smart Recharge. For the unaware, Airtel introduced a wide range of Smart Recharge plans last year after removing the talk time plans. These Smart Recharge plans from Airtel ship with data, talk time and rate cutter benefits for a specific period, ranging from 28 days to 84 days. The company's Rs 65 Smart Recharge plan is now offering double talk time benefit, which is Rs 130. However, the new benefit is applicable only in select circles at the moment and the entire list is available below. Other benefits of the Rs 65 plan include 200MB of data and all the voice calls will be charged at 60 paise per minutes. All the benefits under this plan are valid for 28 days from the date of recharge.

Airtel Rs 65 Smart Recharge Plan for Prepaid Users: What it Offers Now?

As noted, the Rs 65 prepaid recharge from Airtel now comes with double talk time benefit in some circles and they are: Assam, Bihar and Jharkhand, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Madhya Pradesh and Chattisgarh, North East, Orissa, Rajasthan, UP East, UP West and Uttarakhand and West Bengal. In circles like Andhra Pradesh & Telangana, Kolkata, Delhi NCR, Chennai, Mumbai and others, the plan still comes with old benefits.

The Rs 65 plan in the circles mentioned above now comes with Rs 130 talk time benefit, 200MB of 4G/3G/2G data and all the voice calls will be charged at 60 paise per minute. This plan comes with a validity of 28 days. The double talk time benefit comes in extremely handy for users who make a lot of voice calls. In other circles where the double talk time benefit is not applicable, Airtel is providing Rs 55 talk time, 200MB of data and voice calls at 60 paise per minute.

Should You Consider Airtel Smart Recharges Over Talk Time Plans?

Bharti Airtel introduced the Smart Recharge plans for prepaid users exactly a year ago. The plans came into effect right after the removal of the company's talk time plans like Rs 10, Rs 20, Rs 50 and so on. At the same time, Airtel even introduced a new scheme called 'Minimum Recharge,' under which users will have to recharge for every 28 days to keep the account active. If a user fails to recharge, then the company will stop offering incoming voice calls after seven days. Right after the current plan's expiry, outgoing voice calling will be stopped because of the service validity expiry.

Airtel brought back talk time plan of Rs 100, but these plans do not serve any purpose now. For example, Smart Recharge plans from Airtel extend your account' service validity for a certain period, but talk time plans do not ship with service validity, so without any Smart Recharge plan, talk time plans can be considered useless. And for the users who recharge with Airtel's unlimited combo plans, there's no additional requirement of recharging talk time plans.

Airtel and Vodafone Idea Trying Hard to Retain Existing Users

In other news, Bharti Airtel and Vodafone Idea are losing existing subscribers for over a year now. However, both the companies are now looking to retain them by making changes to the affordable recharge plans. For example, Vodafone Idea introduced a new Active Recharge called Rs 45 and the company also re-introduced Rs 20 talk time plan with Service Validity extension for 28 days. Now Airtel has increased talk time benefit of Rs 65 Smart Recharge, giving users a choice of staying back.
