A bigger battery for these premium iPhones would mean a better experience for the consumers. With the iPhone 15 Pro specifically, the battery life hasn't been that great over the long usage. While the Pro Max and the Plus models have larger batteries due to a larger body, it is worth noting that Pro devices aren't very small either. Improving the battery life would always be welcomed by the users.
The iPhone 16 series is also said to feature support for faster charging speeds. Currently, the Apple chargers that you purchase from the market come with 20W speed. With the iPhone 16 series, we could see a speed bump up to 40W. Also, the MagSafe charging (wireless charging for the iPhones) could go up from 15W to 20W.

Apple will likely launch the iPhone 16 series in the second or third week of September. The devices are expected to be manufactured in India right from the time of the launch. Apple is looking to shift more production capacity to countries such as India and Vietnam to reduce its reliance on China. At the same time, Apple has seen a great response in its retail business in India as it recorded record revenues for the June 2024 quarter.
